Plan a visit
6-weeks to kindergarten
Children from 6 weeks to kindergarten spend the day in full-service, year-round care at our Tunbridge campus. Rooms are set up for each age, from cozy spaces for babies to tables and materials for older children. Teachers plan outdoor time and hands-on activities every day. The center is licensed for 59 children.
Children’s Integrated Services brings together the people who support a child’s development. A child may see a teacher, a therapist, or a family worker during the day. They work in the same room, with the same toys and routines, so the help fits into the child’s regular day instead of pulling them out of it.
A home visitor comes to you. The visit happens in your living room, your kitchen, or wherever you are comfortable. Together you talk about your child’s growth, play, and daily routines. The visitor brings ideas and resources and answers questions about feeding, sleeping, behavior, or finding other services.
Community playgroups meet in the library, and Thursday mornings start with fresh air and play. Children move through outdoor play, an interactive story time, hands-on crafts, songs, and games. Adults get to talk with other parents while their children dig in. Playgroups are open alongside our early childhood program, so siblings can come too.
Parent education sessions give families a place to talk about the hard parts of raising young children. You might practice new ways to handle tantrums, bedtime, or transitions, then try them at home. Sessions are offered through the center and in the community, at times and places that work for parents.
Community outreach carries family support beyond our buildings and into the towns around us. Staff work with families on concrete supports, community development, and the everyday pieces that hold a household together, from short-term transitions to longer-term services. The aim is to reach people where they already are. Ask us what outreach is happening in your area.
Staff help families find the right support, whether it is short-term or ongoing. You can ask about child care subsidies, health services, housing, food, or early intervention. The center keeps a list of programs and makes the calls with you. You leave with names, phone numbers, and a next step.
