What to have ready

Bring your enrollment forms, your child's health form and immunization record, and a list of emergency contacts and people allowed to pick up. If you're not sure what a form needs, ask us. We'll tell you what's missing before the first day.

Pack a full change of clothes, outdoor gear for the season, and nap items if your child rests here. A comfort object from home is welcome. Label everything with your child's name so it finds its way back.

Before the first day, decide who drops off and who picks up, and tell us their names. Talk with your child's teacher about how you want to hear about the day. A short goodbye at the door helps children settle faster.

The first weeks

At pickup, teachers tell you what your child did, ate, and how they rested. They'll also let you know how the drop-off went. Most children settle within a few weeks, though every child is different.

What families ask

What about tuition?

Ask about current rates when you call or tour. They depend on your child's age and schedule.

What ages do you take?

Children from 6 weeks to 5 years.

When can my child start?

Enrollment runs throughout the year. Call (401) 864-2615 to ask about a place.

Can we visit before deciding?

Yes. A tour is how most families decide, and children are welcome to come along.

What should my child bring on the first day?

Pack a change of clothes, outdoor gear for the season, and a comfort object if it helps. Label everything with your child's name. Nap items are needed if your child rests here.

How do you handle the first weeks?

First days are often shorter, building up as your child gets used to the room. A familiar object from home can help. At pickup, teachers tell you how your child ate, rested, and played.

What does a typical day include?

A day usually starts with arrival and a chance to settle into the room. Children move through play and learning, meals and rest, and time outside. The center runs a nature-focused program with extensive outdoor activities, so children spend part of the day outdoors. Pickup closes the day. Ask what the schedule looks like for your child's age group.

How will I know how my child is doing?

Most parents hear about the day at pickup, when a teacher can tell you how your child ate, napped, and played. You can ask questions then, or call during the day if you want to check in. Ask your child's teacher what works best for staying in touch.

Do you offer part-time or flexible schedules?

Schedules depend on your child's age group and what openings we have, so the best step is to ask what is available for the days you need. org to talk it through.

What if there is no place right now?

You can ask us to contact you when a place opens for your child's age group. Tell us your child's age and the days you need so we can reach out when something fits.
