What our early education program looks like for children six weeks to kindergarten.
Plan a visitAt the heart of our Tunbridge facility is a full-service, year-round Early Care and Education program for children from 6 weeks to kindergarten. The program is licensed for 59 children aged 6 weeks to 5 years. A nature-focused approach means extensive outdoor activities, so children spend part of each day outside. Highly trained teachers lead all age groups, with a strong commitment to outdoor education for children. The children's days include play, exploration, and time in the natural world, building skills that last.
We offer a calendar of free workshops, classes and community events for parents, along with resource and referral services. If you want to attend a workshop or request a specific class, email info@orangecountypcc. org or call (802) 685-2264.

A day in a licensed early education room follows a predictable shape: arrival and free play, a group gathering, snack, outdoor time, lunch, rest and afternoon play. Teachers sit at children's eye level and narrate what they see, so a child hears language all day long.
At home, parents notice small changes. A child hangs up their coat without being asked, or uses words instead of a shout. The routine at school becomes a routine a child carries, and the adults in both places use the same calm language.
